GEORGE C. ARMSTRONG

   George C. Armstrong, Alderman from the Third ward and Chairman of the Finance
Committee of the Athens City Council, was born at Greshamville, Greene county,
Georgia, January 30, 1878.

   He was connected with the fertilizer business in Atlanta for ten years before
coming to Athens in 1909, as vice-president of the Southern Oil Refining Company.

   In 1915 he was made manager of the Hodgson Oil Refining Company, of Athens,
and is serving in that capacity at this time.

   He is a member of the firm of Armstrong & Dobbs, dealers in coal, cottonseed
and distributors of Internation Harvester Go. trucks.

   His residence is on Jefferson Road, Athens, Georgia.
