J. Rowe WILLIAM K. MEADOW Father was David W. Meadow. Mother: Susie A. (Colbert) Meadow. Born near Danielsville, Madison County, Georgia, December 7, 1891. Educated in Danielsville School, Prof. S. P. Orr's School at Athens, Athens High School, Georgia Military Academy, College Park, Ga. Entered University of Georgia in 1908, graduated 1912 with A.B. degree. Graduated University Law School in 1914 with B.L. degree. In college was member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity; captain and major in University Cadet Corps; Commencement Day speaker from Law Department. Began practice of law in Athens in July, 1914, and continued until United States entered World War, when entered First Officers Training Camp at Ft. McPherson,, where was commissioned as Captain of Infantry and assigned to 82nd Division. Served as Captain of Co. G., 327th Infantry, 82nd Division at Camp Gordon and in France in Toul Sector, Marbache Sector, St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives. Resumed practice of law in Athens at close of war.
