It is isolated on property off CR 280 which is accessible from FM 95 in Nacogdoches County Texas . I request that you please place this information on both the Clarke and the Henry County sites. All information below is transcribed from wording on the headstone markers. This remote cemetery is on private property and cannot be visited without permission of the owners.: This location can be confirmed by visiting the site of the 'Texas Historical Commission site for GSP plotting . ( not posted as of August 2004) From Garrison, Nacogdoches, Texas take FM 95 south six miles to CR 280 , turn left go approximately one mile to logging trail at property line between International Paper Company land and Barton land on a northward direction This trail parallels the fence line for ¾ of a mile, at this point the land will begin an incline. A second logging trail in a N.E. direction toward the top of the hill. There is an uncut stand of mature timber around the cemetery. The burial sites are heavily overgrown. Several of the burial markers are damaged with three undamaged markers still in place. This site was visited August 20, 2004, while assisting Mr. Chris Dyer of Texas Historical Commission. Known burials by marker only: Please notice the varying placement of Elizabeth Rape's initials. They are copied as they appear on the individual headstones. Lloyd W. son of ( marble headstone broken, but legible ) Henry & E.S. Rape Born: Henry County Georgia October 5, 1846 Died: March 14, 1881 Elizabeth Hancock ( marble headstone broken, but legible ) wife of Henry Rape Born in Clarke County Georgia, April 6, 1825 ; Died July 20, 1883 Inscription: Her last words “Home Sweet Home, I’m almost there in heaven above there is no more suffon then….. illegible”. Charlie Rape ( marble headstone intact ) Son of Henry & S.E. Rape Born: June 28, 1856 Died August 19, 1862 Henry Rape (marble headstone intact ) Born: March 17, 1819 Died : Feb. 2, 1890 Infant of Henry & E.S. Rape (marble headstone intact) Born: No Dates entered on headstone There are probably other family members buried in this location, but there are no visible indications that can be confirmed.
