Beal To Eliza Gann February 5, 1870 Book Y, page 460 Clarke County, GA Georgia, Clarke County This indenture made this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Seventy, between Courtney W Beal of the one part and Eliza Gann of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Courtney W. Beal for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and doth to these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Eliza Gann, her heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land, Situate, lying and being in the county aforesaid, containing one acre more or less, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a pile of rocks and running thence S. 85 degrees 15-1E 3 chains and 50 links to 2 stakes near a chestnut stump: thence N18 degrees 95-1W. 3 chains and nine links to the next corner, thence N.85degrees 15W. 3 chains and 50 links to a stake corner, thence S. 180 – 45-1 E. 3 chains and fifty links forming trapezium. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto her the said Eliza Gann, her heirs and assigns, together with all and singular, the rights, members and appurtenances thereof to the same and in any manner belonging: to her and their own _________ use, benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Courtney W Beal for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators, the said bargained promises unto the said Eliza Gann her heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves, and against the claim of all other persons whatsoever. For Witness Whereof, the said Courtney W Beal hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, this day and year above written. These presents being duly stamped.
