Clarke County Deed Book L, p. 154-155

	This Indenture made this fifth day of October in the year of our Lord eighteen
hundred & eighteen Between Absolum Clarke of the State of Georgia and County of
Clarke of the one part and David Elder of the County & State aforesaid of the
other part Witnesseth, that the said Absolum Clarke for & in consideration of
the sum of six hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said David Elder at or
before the sealing & delivering of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged Have granted Bargined sold & confirmed & by these presents do fully
Bargin Grant sell & confirm unto the sd. David Elder his heirs & assigns all
that tract or parcel of Land situated lying & being in said state & county of
Clarke on the waters of Wild Cat Creek, containing one hundred & sixty nine
acres Beginning at a pine corner near the Rodd leading from the Schull Shoals to
Watkinsville thence on Abraham Durkams line N. 28 E. twenty chains fifty links
hikory corner thence N. 76. E. fourteen chains Red oak Corner, thence N. 28. E.
four chains seventy five links stake corner, thence S. 65. E. six chains seventy
five links Dogwood corner, thence N. 28. E. twenty nine chains white oak corner
on Kilgos line thence on said line S. 75. W. eleven chains Hicory corner, thence
on sd. Kilgos line eleven chains Hicory corner thence on sd. Kilgo’s line N. 17.
W. fourteen chains ash corner thence on Wm. McCrees line S. 69. W. thirty one
chains seventy five links poplar corner on Richd. McCree line, thence S. 22. W.
forty seven chains to a chestnut corner thence S. 65. E. sixteen chains & fifty
links to the Beginning pine being part of a Tract of six thousand six hundred &
forty acres origanely granted to Micajah Williamson Together with all and
singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever to the said
tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining & the aforesaid Absolum
Clarke for himself his heirs and assigns and against all & every other person or
persons whatever, having any Just or lawfull titles to said land & primeses with
there & every of there rights members and appurtenances as aforesaid to the said
David elder his heirs and assigns to his and there own proper use benefit &
behoof in fee simple will and shall warrant & forever defend by these presents 
In Witness whereof the said Absolum Clarke has hereunto set his hand & affixed
his seal the day & year first above written.
