This indenture made this Twenty Fourth day of December in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and sixty nine between Elisa Gann of the one part and Jefferson
Jennings of the other part Witnesseth that the said Elisa Gann for and in
consideration of the sum of Twenty Five dollars to her in hand paid, at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, doth by these presents
grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Jefferson Jennings his heirs and
assigns all that tract on parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County
aforesaid, known and distinguished as William Gann tract of land in Barbers
Creek District Five acres more or less on the road leading by Ally Gann, leading
to the old Federal Road joining lands of Joseph Lee , Jefferson Jennings, Arena
Long, and the Dowry Dolly Gann this lying about five miles from Athens To have
and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Jefferson Jennings
his heirs and assigns, together with all and singular, the rights, member, and
appurtenances whereof in any manner belonging to him and their own proper use,
benefit and behalf in fee simple, and the said Elisa Gann for her heirs,
executors and administrators, the said bargained promises unto the said
Jefferson Jennings his heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the
right and title thereof against all demands and against the claim of all other
persons whatsoever. 
On Witness whereof the said Elisa Gann hath hereunto set her hand and affixed
her seal the day and year above written.
