                                     This indenture made this Seventh day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one between
Nathan Gann Senr of the county of Cobb and state aforesaid of the one part, and
Rosalie Gaervain of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth
that the said Nathan Gann for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred
seventy dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained
sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto
the said Rosalie Gaervain her heirs or assigns all that tract or parcel of land,
situate, lying and being in the County of Clarke in said State, on the waters of
the middle fork of the Oconee River/McNutts Creek adjoining lands of William
Gann/ John Gann/ William Epps/________ , beginning at a White Oak corner on a
branch running into the river, thence South 15 West  44 chains to a White Oak on
McNutts Creek, thence North 78 West 41 chains to a Chestnut, thence North 50
East 41 chains and 50 links to a Red Oak, thence North _8 West 19 chains/fifty
links to a Black Gum, thence North 67 West 14 chains to a Pine, thence North 30
east 35 chains to a Black Gum on the river thence down the river to a Hickory at
the mouth of the branch first mentioned thence up said branch to beginning
corner containing three hundred twenty five acres it being the tract of land the
aforesaid Nathan resided for many years. Which will appear by reference to a
plat made by David Sims __________ on the 7th April 1817____________________
included by ____________________.
To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto her the said Rosalie
Gaervain her heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members
and appurtenances thereof to the same in any names belonging to her and their
own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple.
And the said Nathan Gann for himself his heirs executors and administrators the
said bargained premises unto the said Rosalie Gaervain , her heirs and assigns,
will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves
and against the claim of all other persons whatever.




In Witness Whereof the said Nathan Gann Senr hath hereunto set his hand and seal
the day and year above written.
