Deed of Gift by Joshua Hightower

Clarke County Georgia.   Recorded July 20, 1818 pag 150-151

Know all men by these presents that Joshua Hightower of the County of Oglethorpe
and State aforesaid for and in consideration of the natural love and affection
that I bare towards my Grand son Thomas Anderson, the son of Polly Anderson, the
wife of Jordan Anderson and for the further condiseration of the sum of one
dollar to me in hand paid have this day given and bequeathed and doth give and
bequeath unto my grandson Thomas Anderson of the County of Clarke and State
aforesaid one negro girl by the name of Clary and her increase now in my
possession which negro girl Clary and her increase I the said Joshua Hightower
do warrant and defend unto the said Thomas Anderson by Grandson his heirs and
assigns forever free from myself my heirs and assigns and every other person or
persons whatsoever:

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th day of July
1818   Joshua Hightower

The words and her increase & the words her increase interlined before assigned
signed sealed and acknowledged in presents of us
