Warranty Deed
John R. Moore To J. H. Towns

Clarke County

This indenture made this second day of January in
the year of Our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and
One between John R. Moore of the County of Clarke of
the first part and J. H. Towns of the County of
Clarke of the second part. Witnesseth that the said
partie of the first part for and in consideration of
the sum of five Hundred Dollars in hand paid at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has
granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
presents does grant bargain sell and convey unto the
said partie of the second part, his heirs and
assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying &
being in said State and County and on the road
leading from the City of Athens to Georgia Factory
and Puryears about four miles from said City and
more particularly described as follows: Bounded on
the North and East by lands of W. H. Dean & others
on the south by lands of Peter Flanigen and on the
West by the said main Road leading from Athens to
Georgia Factory.  Containing Ninety Two and one half
acres (92 ½) more or less, said tract of land known
as a part of the old Tom Moore tract.  Said land
being deed to John R. Moore, and J. H. Towns by S.
H. Adams and E. F. Shackelford sole heirs of Mrs. M.
E. Adams the said Moore & Towns each having bought
one undivided half interest in said tract of land.
This deed is made to convey the undivided half
interest held by John R. Moore to the said J. H.
Towns, as shown by deed from S. H. Adams and E. F.
Shackelford to John R. Moore and J. H. Towns. To
have and To Hold the said bargained premises
together with all and singular the rights members
and appurtenances thereof to the same being
belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only
proper use benefit and behoof of him the said party
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever in
fee simple. And The said Partie of the first part
for John R. Moore his heirs executors and
administrators will warrant and forever defend the
right and title of the above described property unto
the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns against the claims of all persons
whomsoever.

In Witness whereof, The said party of the first part
has hereunto set his had and affixed his seal the
Day and year first above written.
