This indenture made this fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fifty eight between William M Morton of the county of
clark and the state aforesaid of the one part, and Aly Gann of the same place of
the other part. Witnesseth that the said Wm M Morton for and in consideration of
the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath
granted, bargained, sold and converse, and does by these presents grant,
bargain, sell, and convey to the said Aly Gann, her heirs and assigns, all that
tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the county of Clark on the
waters of the South Oconee or middle river adjoining the lands of the said Aly
Gann Wm Epps and others where Ms Savage formerly resided and purchased by myself
some years ago at Sheriff sale at the Watkinsville sold as the property of Ms.
Gervaine, containing three hundred /eighteen acres be the same more or less. 
		To have and to hold said land or parcel of land, unto the said Aly Gann, her
heirs and assigns, together with all and singular the rights, members and
appurtenances thereof. To the same in any manner belonging, to her and their own
proper use benefit and behoof in fee simple. And the said Wm M Morton for him
self his heirs executors and administrators, the said bargained premises unto
the said Aly Gann her heirs and assigns, will warrant, and forever defend, the
right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other
persons whatever. 
		In Witness Whereof, the said Wm M Morton has hereunto set his hand and seal
the day and year above written
