All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: SRol786334@aol.com Sara Rollins Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Pages 365,366 State of Georgia, Clarke County These Indenture made this fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirteen Between William Pounds & Molly Pounds Administrator on the estate of Richard Pounds dec'd of the County of Clarke aforesaid of the one part and Bailey George of the same County and state of the other part ---------------- that wherin the said Richard Pounds in his life time on the twenty fifth day of March Eighteen hundred and five made his certain bond and then delivered to the same to the said Bailey George, conditioned that the said Richard Pounds make to the said Bailey George good and lawful rights to a certain tract of land containing Two hundred acres lying and being in said County granted to Walton adjoining Hanners? & Wm. Pounds tracts and whereas also the said Richard Pounds having departed this life without having further complyed with the honor? of said Bond and the Honorable the Court of ordinary of the County of Clarke aforesaid having on a petition preferred to the said Court for that purpose and in pursuance of an act of the legislature? of said state, in such case made and provided ordered and directed the said William Pounds & Molly Pounds administrators on the estate of the said Richard deceased, to make a title to the said Bailey George of in and to the said Tract of Two hundred acres mentioned in the said Bond or instrument and not conveyed by the said Richard in his lifetime - Now know ye that we William Pounds & Molly Pounds administrators on the Estate of the said Richard, in virtue of the process in and by law in pursuance of said order and also in consideration that the purchase money was by the said Bailey -alisfied and paid to the said Richard in his life time Have Bargained and sold and by these presents to bargain sell and convey to the said Bailey George his heirs and assigns , all the aforesaid tract or parcel of land containing Two hundred acres ------------- said bond or instruments, lying and being in the County and State aforesaid To have and to hold the said tract of land with all the rights members? and (2 lines not readable)and assigns forever in --- ---- and we the said William Pounds and Molly Pounds administrators of the said tract of land with all its rights members and appertances unto the said Bailey George his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every known person or persons claiming or to claim shall and will warrant and forever defend.
