Exerpt from the Jackson Herald, October 21, 1898 

Mrs. H. O. Attaway died at her home near town Sunday night at 12:15, after an 
illness of about three weeks.  Her remains were interred Monday evening in 
Bethlehem Cemetery.  She was a true member of Bethabara church, where her 
presence will be greatly missed, but all are satisfied that their loss is her 
gain.  She leaves a husband and six children to mourn her departure.
