A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Emswiler was a daughter of the late Tom and Addie Barnett Crawford and widow of Wilmer Emswiler. She was of the Methodist faith and was a retired machine operator for a sewing plant. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Fred McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include two sons, David "Elmo" Emswiler, Bogart, and Clyde McCarty, Taylorsville, N.C.; a daughter, Alva Nell Smith, Bogart; eight grandchildren, Michael Mitchell, Tazza Mitchell and Paul Mitchell, all of Taylorsville, N.C., Calvin Loggins, Melvin Emswiler and Jennifer Emswiler, all of Bogart, Robert McCarty and Shane McCarty, both of Athens. Pallbearers will be Colin Wood, Charlie Bramblett, Gary Gunter, Greg Hammond, Tillman Whitehead and Alan Lunsford. B.C. Hogan Bogart B.C. Hogan, 87, of 139 Church St. died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996. A native of Willow Grove, Tenn., Mr. Hogan was a son of the late Albert Harlan and Lelah Arnold Hogan. He was married to the late Jessie Alene Anderson Hogan. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Mary Ethel Hogan and D.W. Hogan Sr. Mr. Hogan preached for several churches for more than 60 years. He moved to Bogart in 1939 as the minister of Church of Christ, where he served for 55 years. He also served in the educational field for 35 years as a teacher, basketball coach and principal at Bogart High School, Oconee County school superintendent, principal and coach of the Statham and Auburn schools, and as president of Madison Academy, Huntsville, Ala. He was mayor of Bogart for 20 years. Mr. Hogan received his AS degree from David Lipscomb College, BS and MA degrees from the University of Georgia, and doctorate degree from the National Christian College. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bernstein Funeral Home chapel with Minister J.B. Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include three sons, Jack Hogan, Chattanooga, Tenn., Donald Hogan, Hoschton, and Larry Hogan, Decatur; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be church members and friends. Magnetta B. Kellar Toccoa Magnetta Brown Kellar, 83, of Mize Road died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Kellar was a daughter of the late John David and Delia Garner Brown and widow J.C. Kellar. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church with the Revs. Jewell Gaines and Robert Randall officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Willard Yearwood, Sarah Nell Payne, Joann Payne and Mary Nell Simmons, all of Toccoa; a son, Walter Kellar, Traveler's Rest, S.C.; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Lesley C. Waldrop Alpharetta Lesley Cyril Waldrop, 26, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1996. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Louie E. Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul M. Turner officiating. Survivors include a sister, LaDonnia Dale Waldrop, Savannah; his grandmother, Belle Mouchet, Bowersville; a cousin, Robert A. Martin Jr., Alpharetta; a half-brother and half-sister; and several aunts and uncles. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Elizabeth W. Cook Tavares, Fla. Elizabeth Watson Cook of 1416 Cove Place, formerly of 121 Springdale St., Athens, died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Cook was a daughter of the late A.J. "Captain Jack" and Fannie Daniels Watson and widow of Albert B. Cook. She was a graduate of Georgia State Teachers College and was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Mount Vernon Christian Church Cemetery, Athens. Survivors include a sister, Betty Holland, Tavares, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens. John C. Bridges Commerce John C. "Red" Bridges, 71, of 2305 Homer Road died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Bridges was a son of the late Watte D. and Leola Noell Bridges. He was a retired insurance salesman and was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Revs. David Harbin and Willis J. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Davis Bridges; a daughter, Beverly Thomas, Snellville; a son, Dennis Bridges, Commerce; two brothers, Lindsey Bridges, Colbert, and Ralph Bridges, Gainesville; two sisters, Martha Perry and Daisy Adams, both of Commerce; and three grandchildren. A native of St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Froehlke was a daughter of the late Roy and Josephine Curry Willis. She was a homemaker and was the bailiff in Judge James Barrow's courtroom for many years. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church with the Rev. G. Porter Taylor, pastor, officiating. Survivors include her husband, Victor P. Froehlke; five daughters, Susan C. Harden, Wichita, Kan., Victoria Munzel, Dayton, Minn., Beth Green, Lawrenceville, Laura A.
