A native of Brooks County, Mr. Beasley was a son of the late Terry Pasco and Clyde Wilkes Beasley. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and was the owner of Beasley and Rice, CPA. He was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oconee Hill Cemetery with Dr. Stewart Simms officiating. Survivors include his wife, Betty Beasley; two sons, David Terry Beasley and Stanley Claude Beasley, both of Atlanta; two sisters, Louise McIntosh, Tifton, and Alyce Hartsfield, Thomasville; two grandchildren, Margaret Brooke Beasley and Virginia Anderson Beasley; and a number of nieces and nephews. Roy Tucker Comer Roy Tucker, 76, of Route 1 Box 207A, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 1996. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Tucker was a son of the late Lonnie Tucker and Susie Casey Tucker. He was the widower of Thelma C. Tucker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Colliers Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Frances Tucker; a daughter, Patricia Bond, Comer; a son, Larry Tucker, Comer; a sister, Nettie Sue Helton, Hull; four brothers, Sammy Tucker, Hull, Lonnie Tucker, Comer, Johnny Tucker, Washington, and Billy Tucker, Rayle; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Joe Carl Gaines Elberton Joe Carl Gaines, 74, of 410 Elm St., died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 1996. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Gaines was a son of the late Dewy Gaines and Susie Adams Gaines Douglas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was a member of the Philomathea Masonic Lodge 25 of Elberton, a charter member of the Granite Squares Square Dance Club. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was an assistant funeral director at Berry Funeral Home. He was also a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church, the John Mashburn Sunday school class and was on the administrative board of the United Methodist Men.
