Lewis Roebuck Winder J. Lewis Roebuck, 68, of 308 E. May St., died Monday, Aug. 5, 1996. A native of Gwinnett County, Mr. Roebuck was a son of the late Emory and Buetell Manus Roebuck. He drove a taxi in Winder for many years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Roy Lee Jr. and Mr. Kenneth Sims officiating. Burial will be in White Plains Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Frances Streetman Roebuck; two daughters, Diane Smith, Bethlehem, and Bonnie Sims, Social Circle; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family is at the residence. Wiley M. Freeman Hoschton Wiley M. Freeman, 84, of 404 McNeal Road, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1996. A native of Butts County, Mr. Freeman was a son of the late William A. and Minnie Dickerson Freeman. He was a carpenter of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walnut Fork Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Strickland and Kenneth Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Lourine B. Freeman; two sons, Hugh Freeman, Gainesville, and Charles Freeman, Cleveland; five sisters, Pearl Freeman and Annie Mae McDonald, both of Pendergrass, Vannie Lee Hix, Jefferson, Ruth Reed, Talmo, and Doris Jones, Lawrenceville; a brother, William G. Freeman, Hoschton; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Jackson Funeral Home, Jefferson. Jon M. Allen Bogart BOGART - Jon Michael Allen, 18, of 1070 Old Snows Mill Road, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Allen was a son of Rex and Jan Brooks Allen of Bogart. He was entering Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. Memorials services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mounts officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a brother, Joshua Gregory Allen, Bogart; and his grandparents, J.D. and Naomi Ingram Allen, Milledgeville.
