Brown Roswell Sarah Sally Edwards Brown, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996. A native of Toccoa, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Claude and Sally Brinsfield Edwards. She was the widow of William Wesley Brown. She was a retired receptionist for the Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church with Dr. Joe Bowen and the Rev. David Tinsley officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.. Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery, Chamblee. Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Lewis, Alpharetta; a son Leslie Brown, Chicago; and three grandsons. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Smith was a son of the late Tom Lee and Leona Dove Smith. He was a retired textile worker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Malcolm Herndon officiating. Burial will be in the Vanna United Methodist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Willie Azalee Mason Smith; a son, William Douglas Smith, Athens; a daughter, Connie Moncrief, Anderson, S.C.; two sisters, Ruth Cape, Lavonia, and Jeanette Shelton, Augusta; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. tonight. The families are at their homes. Hoyt Hardy Sr. Monroe Hoyt Hardy Sr., 89, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996. A native of Gwinnett County, Mr. Hardy was a son of the late George W. and Susan Caroline Pool Hardy. He was the widower of Thelma Hardy. He was a retired farmer and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Carter-Stewart Funeral Home, Winder, with Rev. Margaret C. Lunsford Toccoa Margaret Crowe Lunsford, 55, of 6638 Scott Circle, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Lunsford was a daughter of Eula Dowell Crowe, Hartwell, and the late William Guy Crowe. She was employed by Penline Garment Co. and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church. She was a retired clerk for the Internal Revenue Service, Georgia. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta, with the Rev. David Sandridge officiating. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Pertile; a daughter, Rachel Duvall, Greensboro; a son, Delos H. Yancey Jr., Rome; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mackey Hartwell Faye Robinson Mackey, 68, of 333 Capri Drive, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996. A native of Carroll County, Mrs. Mackey was a daughter of the late Jess and Amy Overton Robinson. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kendall Richard Mackey. She was a retired receptionist from Monroe Auto Equipment Co. She was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church.
