A native of Madison County, Mrs. Wortham was a daughter of the late Willie H. Seagraves and Anna Bradley Seagraves. She was a widow of Guy Wortham, and was preceded in death by a son, Weyman Wortham. She was a member of Young Harris Methodist Church and a member of its Friendship Class. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, West, with Dr. Dan Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include a son, William Wortham, Athens; a daughter, Joyce Hamilton, Athens; five grandchildren, Eddie Wortham, Kathy Wortham and Maura Hamilton, all of Athens, Scott Wortham, Buford, and Dr. David Wortham, Anderson, S.C.; four great-grandchildren, Brooke Wortham and Brittany Wortham, both of Buford, and Carly Wortham and Karen Wortham, both of Anderson, S.C.; and nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence of Joyce Hamilton, 160 Lenox Road, Athens. Becky Sorrow Danielsville Rebecca "Becky" Lynn Dickens Sorrow, 47, of 90 Mason Mill Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996. A native of Walton County, Mrs. Sorrow was a daughter of Margie Davis Dickens, Fort Benning, and the late Granville Dickens. She was a homemaker and a member of Walker Baptist Church, Monroe. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bluestone Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Jenkins and Steve Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Monroe. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Ronnie Sorrow; a son, James N. Conner Jr., Athens; two daughters, Laura Lynn and Mandie M. Mrs. Greene was a daughter of the late Sam Waldroupe and Cora Chastain Waldroupe. She was the widow of Willie Ray Greene and was retired from Jefferson Mills. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Lonnie Bennett and Jimmy Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery. Osborne, 84, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mr. Osborne was a son of the late Turner Osborne and Parrish Allen Osborne. He was the widower of Marie McCurley Osborne and was preceded in death by two half brothers, Bill Osborne and J.C. Osborne. He was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Co. and was a farmer and cattleman. He was a member of Hart County Farm Bureau and the Hart County Cattlemen Association. He was a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church and the men's Bible Sunday school class. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church with the Revs. Ted Kelley, Luther Kay and Gary Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A native of Franklin County, Ms. Bowers was a daughter of the late Wes Bowers and Ada Starrett Bowers. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Hoke Bowers, Dennard Bowers, Clifford Bowers and Estee Bowers, and a sister, Thelma Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Mill Shoal Baptist Church. Samms Toccoa Dorothy Hawn Samms, 89, of Falls Road died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996. A native of Bedford, Pa., Mrs. Samms was a daughter of the late Atlee Hawn and Frances Fisher Hawn and widow of Harry Samms. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Bahai faith. Overley, Hartwell; and three grandchildren. Elizabeth Whitten Fitzgerald Elizabeth "Betty" Haynes Whitten, 71, of 170 Brunswick Ave. died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 1996. A native of Winterville, Mrs. Whitten was a daughter of the late H. Armstrong Haynes and Mae Holden Haynes. She was the widow of Henry F. Whitten. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in education. She was a retired teacher and member of the National Educators Association and Georgia Educators Association. She was also a member of the Ladies Society of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fitzgerald. A native of North Carolina, Mr. McQueen was a son of the late Charles H. McQueen and Lucy Thrasher Lively McQueen. He was a retired engineer with Monroe Business Machines and was of the Baptist faith. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bernstein Funeral Home.
