Carey Dewy Rose Thomas Dedrick Carey, 75, of 8380 Bowman Highway died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Carey was a son of the late Joe Worley and Rilla Carroll Carey. He was preceded in death by a sister, Millie Mae Blankenship. He was an Army veteran of World War II, the retired owner and operator of Carey's Service Station and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Holly Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Fred Jones and Herman Purcell officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Reba Caudell Carey; a son, Joel Carey, Dewy Rose; two brothers, J.O. Joseph Pittman Martin Joseph Pittman, 47, of Highway 328 died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Pittman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward James Pittman. Peter Daniels Hartwell Peter Daniels of 2135 Ridge Road died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996. A native of Allentown, Pa., Mr. Daniels was a son of the late John and Katie Deschity Daniels. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and was retired from C.F. Simons Oil Refinery, where he was a technician for 46 years. He was a member of Hartwell V.F.W.
