Allen Hartwell James Stevie Allen, 30, of 138 David St. died Thursday, Nov. 7, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mr. Allen was a son of Georgie C. and Nathaniel Allen Sr. of Hartwell. He was a member of Greater Barber Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. L. Summerour officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Stevonya Angelique Allen, Hartwell; a son, Stevie Torontay Ola Sawn Allen, Jefferson; five sisters, Littie A. Jones and Caretha L. Allen, both of Hartwell, Vola M. Williams, Yuma, Ariz., Margaret T. Harmon, Columbus, and Annette Hunt, Elberton; three brothers, Nathaniel Allen Jr., Hartwell, and Billy Joe Hunt and Robert Nathaniel Hunt, both of Augusta. Mack's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Gretha T. Rushing Dublin Gretha Todd Rushing, 71, died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996. A native of Tattnall County, Mrs. Rushing was a daughter of the late Pledger and Leona Johnson Todd and the widow of the Rev. Donald Garnett Rushing. She was a retired postmaster in Crescent and a member of Dudley Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Dudley Baptist Church with Dr. W.R. Weeks and the Rev. Walter Martin officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Glennville City Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include a daughter, Glenda R. "Nell" Irvin, 76, of Route 1, Box 113 C, died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996. A native of Baldwin, Ms. Irvin was a daughter of the late Will P. and Dora A. Caudell Ayers. She was retired from USDA Soil and Conservation Services and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services were Sunday at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Sosby, 85, of 14700 Georgia Highway 106, Red Hill community, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Sosby was a son of the late Luther J. and Mae Kelly Sosby. He was a graduate of Rhinehart College, had been a farmer and was retired from the Atlanta Transit Authority, where he served as a street car motorman and bus driver. He was a member of Allens United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Allens United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. "Quilla" Ingram, 82, of 121 Heritage Court died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996. A native of Banks County, Mr. Ingram was a son of the late Callie Sorrow Ingram and Coile Ingram and the widower of Florine Ingram. He was a cattle farmer and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Little-Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Fred Ingram, Monticello; a daughter, Sybil Haigler, Commerce; a brother, Horace Ingram, Lexington, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Underwood White Plains Judy Higdon Underwood, 46, of 1051 Jackson Ave. died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Underwood was a daughter of the late Richard Higdon and the late Martha Edmonds. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Cameron was a son of Henry C. Cameron of Cornelia and Lola Edenfield of Jacksonville, Fla., and a stepson of Joann Cameron of Cornelia. He attended North Georgia Technical Institute and was employed by S.K.F. Bearings in Oakwood. He was in the Army National Guard and was of the United Methodist faith. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Dorothy D. Hailstone Athens Dorothy Dolney Hailstone, 56, of 124 Hickory Point Drive died Friday, Nov. 8, 1996. A native of Houston, Mrs. Hailstone was a daughter of the late Teofil and Mary Dolney. She had lived in Houston for one year after moving there from Mountain Home, Idaho. She was a graduate of the University of Dallas and the University of Houston. She was a schoolteacher and had taught in Texas, California, Idaho and Germany. She especially enjoyed her participation as both a volunteer and substitute teacher at Gaines School Elementary, Athens. She was a member of the University of Georgia Catholic Center. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the UGA Catholic Center with Father Steve Pavignano, O.F.M., officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, at a later date.
