A native of Greene County, Mrs. Ward was a daughter of the late John and Mattie Ward. She was a member of New Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Revs. H.L. Dotson, R.L. Calloway and Bascoe Jackson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Survivors include two daughters, Vera Bradford, Athens, and Chenetta Thomas, Ellenwood; a son, John W. Evans, of 135 Wynter Court died Monday, Oct. 7, 1996. Mr. Evans was a son of the late David Evans and Bessie Walton Evans. Survivors include a sister, Darlena Arnold, Athens; a brother, Charlie H. Evans, Rollins, Mo.; and nieces and nephews. Wanda Addis Mount Airy Wanda Snyder Addis, 41, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996. A native of Rabun County, Mrs. Addis was a daughter of Maude Free Snyder, Tiger, and the late Mark Newton Snyder. She was a member of Woodmen of the World and an employee of Ethicon Inc. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Liberty Baptist Church with the Revs. Alton Dendy, Cranford Carnes and Mickey Woods officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ronald Holcomb Sr. Winder Ronald P. Holcomb Sr., 64, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Holcomb was a son of the late Henry P. and Mary Geneva Holcomb. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald A. " Ronnie" Holcomb Jr. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a retired truck driver. He was employed by Aeroquip Corp., Toccoa, as a set-up punch press operator. He was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in the Poali community near Comer. He was a retired employee of the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he was a choir member. "Red" Simmons, 86, of 3569 King Hall Road, Bowman, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996. A native of Banks County, Mr. Simmons was a son of the late the Rev. Will and Martha Acree Simmons. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Pointer Simmons. He was retired as concrete foreman at Daniels Construction Co. and was superintendent of concrete work at the Hartwell dam and several Milliken plants. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 29 in Decatur, Ala. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Central, S.C. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Revs. LeRoy Phillips and Jack Bryson officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Toccoa Masonic Lodge No. 309 in charge of graveside rites.
