A native of Myrtle Beach, S.C., she was a daughter of Mell Hammock of Cape Coral, Fla., and Gail Free of Statham. She was a 1990 graduate of Winder-Barrow High School and worked at Barrow Bank & Trust Co. in Winder. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home Memory Chapel with the Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Darrell Cronic; a son, Logan Cronic, Winder; a brother, Tracy Hammock, Athens; and three grandparents, Orin and Glenda McCullers, Bethlehem, and Louise Arline, Camilla. Charles W. Haggard Hartwell Charles W. Haggard, 67, of 10 Brown Circle died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996. A native of Madison County, Mr. Haggard was a son of the late Sammy A. and Reecie Allen Haggard. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Ila, with the Revs. Douglas Duncan and Luther Kay officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Survivors include three sons, Randy Haggard, Terry M. Haggard and Keith Haggard, all of Ila; a daughter, Cheryl Ayers, Ila; a stepson, Randy Welborn, Royston; two stepdaughters, Lynn Turner, Vanna, and Donna Brown, Anderson, S.C.; six brothers, Allen Haggard, Aaron Haggard, Harvey Joe Haggard and Ted Haggard, all of Ila, Mitchell Haggard, Elberton, and Roy Haggard, Royston; three sisters, Helen Haynes and Jackie Reid, both of Ila, and Mona Wagner, Watkinsville; nine grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Howard Athens Mary Lizzie Howard of 883 College Ave. died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996. A native of Eatonton, she was a member of Hill Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include two cousins, Maude Stokes and Betty Freeman, both of Eatonton. Lucille Bailey Toccoa Lucille Bailey, 87, of Brookhaven Circle died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996. A native of Stephens County, Miss Bailey was a daughter of the late George Pierce and Martha Porter Bailey. She was a member of Mullins Ford Baptist Church, where she was a member of the WMU, taught Sunday school for more than 40 years and was a former leader of the Baptist Young Women. She and her late brother, Herschel Bailey, operated Bailey's Store on Brookhaven Circle for many years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Roger Elrod and Clarence Davis officiating. Burial will be in Mullins Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be great-nephews Terry Bailey, George Bailey, Bob Bailey and Bill Bailey. Luther G. Cabe Toccoa Luther George Cabe, 88, of Oak Valley Road died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996. A native of Macon County, N.C., Mr. Cabe was a son of the late Stephen L. and Roxie Talley Cabe. He was retired from WABCO and was a former member of the Stephens County Board of Education. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and Toccoa Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Warren Wilkinson and the Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Clarence Davis officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Rae Russell Cabe; a son, Donald Cabe, Toccoa; two daughters, Wanda Kellar and Carolyn Whitlock, both of Toccoa; a sister, Maggie Kelley, Toccoa; three brothers, S.L. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Hall was a daughter of the late Oscar and Ruby Chambers. She was of the Baptist faith. The family is at the residence and will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Ralph Christian Athens Ralph Williams Christian, 83, of Oglethorpe Avenue died Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996. Mr. Christian was a 1934 graduate of the University of Georgia and a veteran of World War II. He was a retired civil engineer with the state highway department. Private funeral services were held. Survivors include his wife, Hoil S. Christian; two sons, Michael E. Shea and K. A native of Greene County, Mrs. Mayfield was a daughter of the late John T. and Mattie Bryan Parrott and the widow of Malcom Mayfield. She attended Salem Schoolhouse and Greensboro City School. She was a retired spinner at Mary Leila Cotton Mill and Chipman-Union and a baby-sitter. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greensboro.
