Kitchens, 87, of 105 Willbough Homes died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Kitchens was a daughter of the late John and Lula Nations and widow of the late Hoyt Kitchens. A native of Americus, Mr. Tullis was a son of the late E.W. and Ruth Chambliss. He retired from Southern Bell after 33 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. The family is at the residence of Frazier Freeman, 145 Saymore Drive, Athens. Oscar 'Pete' Hawkes Athens Oscar "Pete" Hawkes, 62, of 515 Greencrest Drive died Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Hawkes was a son of the late Nada Lee Boyd Hawkes and Oscar Noel Sr. He lived in Oconee County most of his life and worked at the Clarke County Sheriff's Department and jail. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Lee. A native of Narberth, Pa., Mr. Hager was a son of the late Marion Harris Hager and Harold William Hager Sr. He lived in Tampa, Fla., for 20 years and was retired from Winne Co. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Anderson was a son of the late Cleveland J. and Mae Ruth Aiken Anderson. He was the owner of Trojan Auto Parts and Anderson Rebuilders. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a former member of the Whitehead Civitan Club and a member of the Son's of Confederate Veterans T.R.R. Cobb Camp 97 and Athens Antique Car Club.
