Risner Rosell Barton Reid Risner, 83, formerly of Crawfords Ferry, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Risner was a daughter of the late Erskine and Nora Cleveland Reid and the widow of Thomas Webster Risner. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sybil Kelly. She was retired from the Hartwell Co. where she was a seamstress. She was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Survivors include a son, Raborn Risner, Anderson, S.C.; a daughter, Doris Crews, Dallas; a brother, Johnny Reid, Hartwell; three sisters, Faye Swaim, Lawrenceville, and Idell Shaw and Willie Burns, both of Anderson, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family is at the residence of Otis Brown, 160 Ellen St., Hartwell. Corey Sims Athens Corey Sims, 20, of 125 Morningview Circle died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Sims was a son of Lula Mae Sims and the late Larry D. Sims. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church with Bishop Richard Elder and the Rev. Kenneth Elder officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two sisters, Tiny S. Stephens and Cedrica Jones, both of Athens; a grandfather, Emory Johnson, Madison; and a grandmother, Annie Sims, Athens. Mack & Payne Morticians and Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. Leroy 'Pickle' Parrott Union Point Leroy Parrott, 60, of 157 Bloodworth St. died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996. A native of Greene County, Mr. Parrott was a son of the late Major and Lillie West Parrott. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Eugene Atwaters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Hildred Gresham Parrott, Macon; two daughters, Lillie Mae Brown, Union Point, and Mary Richardson, Athens; four brothers, Wright Parrott, Union Point, Charles Parrott and James Parrott, both of White Plains, and William Parrott, Atlanta; Parker West, Augusta ; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Frank Bellamy Carnesville Samuel Frank Bellamy, 76, of 12501 Old Federal Road, Plainview Community, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Bellamy was a son of the late Henry C. and Eugenia Redmond Bellamy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Buren Bellamy and Clinton Bellamy. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and Air Force having served in World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the Schnadig Corp., Cornelia. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church with the Revs. Tim Bennett, Ed Aiken and Gerry Wiley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Helen Osborn Bellamy, Carnesville; three sons, Dennis Bellamy and Gary Bellamy, both of Toccoa, and Wayne Bellamy, Carnesville; two daughters, Mary Bellamy and Anne Charles, both of Toccoa; three sisters, Lucille Payne, Mildred Gillespie and Lois Bond, all of Carnesville; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Betty Jo Stokes Athens Betty Jo Stokes, 61, of 119 Sunny Hill Court died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996. A native of Madison County, Miss Stokes was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the hall with Clarence Clark officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Ivey, 41, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Ivey was a daughter of Addie Lou Maddox and the late Henry Ray Maddox. She worked in quality control at Southern Snacks and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Winder. Howard Toccoa Thomas Hubert Howard, 64, of Carnes Creek Road died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Howard was a son of the late Hubert and Mildred Scoggins Howard. He was employed by Millikin Co. and was a member of Rock Quarry Holiness Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Edward Hood officiating. Osborne Winder John Harrison Osborne, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996. A native of Barrow County, Mr. Osborne was a barber at Mayfields Camp Barber Shop in Winder for 50 years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in White Oak Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Price officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
