Bush Commerce Irene Morris Bush, 82, of Hwy. 326, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Bush was a daughter of the late Judge and Gertrude Goss Morris. She was the widow of Samuel Bush, and was a member of Melvin Hill C.M.E. Church, Carnesville. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Melvin Hill C.M.E. Church with the Rev. J.A. Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sons, John Sam Bush, Augusta, and Shelton Morris Bush, Jefferson; four daughters, Ida Gibson, Columbia, S.C., Catherine Browner, Hull, Jo Ann Bush and Avie Sue Shivers, both of Commerce; two sisters, Hattie Scott and Mary Bell Morris; two grandchildren raised in the home, Angel Shealer and Aretha Hill; and nine other grandchildren. Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Christine J. Tighe Athens Christine Jensen Tighe, 92, of 485 Woodhaven Way, died Friday, Sept. 13, 1996. Mrs. Tighe was a native of Brockport, N.Y. She was the widow of Harold Tighe. She worked for Eastman Kodak, and was a pioneer in early color print making. She lived in Athens with her husband since 1986. She was a member of Brockport Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lake View Cemetery, Sweden, N.Y. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Barrett Daniel, Athens; a granddaughter, Christine B. Berding, Athens; a grandson, John H. Barrett, Athens; and six great-grandchildren. Marjorie Bowen Carnesville Marjorie Ellen Bowen, 56, of 53 Hall St., died Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996. A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Bowen was a daughter of the late Herschel Henry and Alice Tranguary Milton. She was a member of Commerce Church of God. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Northcutt was a daughter of the late Gardner Estes and Louella Victoria Grant Wilbanks. She was the owner and operator of Frances Beauty Salon and president of the SC Cosmotology Association. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He was the retired owner of Blake Fishing Lake, Augusta, and an evangelical minister.
