A native of Banks County, Miss Ray was a daughter of the late Lindsey and Recie Pritchett Ray. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sisters, Jimmie Cochran, Maysville, and Kate McCoy, Commerce; and a brother, Ben Ray, Doraville. Whitfield Funeral Home, Baldwin, is in charge of arrangements. John B. Bruce Madison John Benjamin Bruce, 83, of 4831 Eatonton Road, died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996. A native of Morgan County, Mr. Bruce was a son of the late Frank Lovejoy and Effie Harper Bruce. He was a dairy farmer. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church with the Revs. Jim Peterson, Thomas Duff and Earl Newell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Sellers Bruce; five sons, Roger Bruce, Larry Bruce, John Bruce and Ben Bruce, all of Madison, and Wayne Bruce, Ashland City, Tenn.; three daughters, Faye Sisson, Blueridge, Effie Powell, Germany, and Ester Curry, Madison; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Simmons Funeral Home. John B. Little Sr. Mount Airy John B. Little Sr., 82, died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996. A native of Marshville, N.C., Mr. Little was a son of the late James Washington and Ola Tarlton Little. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired paving contractor and former owner of Little Paving Co. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Kimbrell Little; a son, John B. Little Jr., Conyers; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Willie Beard Eastanollee Willie Beard, 42, of Red Hollow Road, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996. A native of Anderson, S.C., Mr. Beard was a son of Henrietta Burton Beard, Pendleton, S.C., and the late Hubert Beard. He was self-employed in tree service and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home chapel, Toccoa. Burial will be in Toccoa City Cemetery. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Susan Williams Beard; two daughters, Angela Savage, Pendleton, S.C., and Julie Beard, Eastanollee; two sons, Christ Savage and Corey Beard, both of Eastanollee; and two sisters, Joyce Chapman and Evelyn Tucker, both of Anderson, S.C.
