A native of Madison County, Mr. Sorrow was a son of the late Keiffer and Alice Landers Sorrow. He was a brick mason. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Macedonia Holiness Church with the Rev. William Anglin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Barner Sorrow; a son, John Sims, Danielsville; a daughter, Mary Ann Thomason, Danielsville; three brothers, Alford Sorrow, Rayle, Luther Drake, Athens, and Robert Drake, Colbert; a sister, Savola Anglin, Danielsville; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Moore, Dale Moore, Billy Moore, Scott Anglin, Tracy Sorrow and Roger Bray. Wayne Anglin will be an honorary pallbearer. Smith Bowersville Mozelle Cheek Smith, 92, formerly of the Cross Roads Community, died Friday, July 19, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Job and Laura Phillips Cheek. She was the widow of Elizah W. Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Revs. Ben Coleman and David Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include three nieces. The family is at the home of Lowell and Montine Adams, 801 Airline School Road. Strickland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Herman L. Waddell Morrow Herman Lee Waddell, 53, of 6079 Danbury Court, died Saturday, July 20, 1996. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Mr. Waddell was a son of Edith Baker Ayers Little, Morrow, and the late Willie Lee Waddell. He worked in windshield installation and retail and was of the Baptist Faith. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Little-Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Hill was a son of the late Nannie Hill. He was the widower of Gussie Hill. He was a retired school teacher. Survivors include two sons, Algernon Hill, Winston-Salem, and Raleigh J. Hill, Washington. Albert L. Griffin Sr. Elberton Albert Lee Griffin Sr., 75, of 2357 Eliam Road, died Saturday, July 20, 1996. A native of Baltimore, Mr. Griffin was a son of the late Edward and Lillian LeCompt Griffin. He was a retired railroad brakeman, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Watersedge Baptist Church, Baltimore. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Maesser officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Hawkins was a daughter of the late Luther and Pauline Gossett Fowler. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at E.K. May Funeral Home Chapel, Tenille, with the Rev. J. Emory Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Church Cemetery, Hamburg. Survivors include her husband, James Hawkins; two daughters, Betty J. Toulson, Milledgeville, and Jo Ann Butler, Athens; a son, Roy J. Hawkins, Milledgeville; three sisters, Annie Hutcheson and Katie Mae Streetman, both of Athens, and Juanita Brooks, Dublin; two brothers, William Fowler, Dublin, and Cecil Fowler, Athens; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family is at the home. Blaine Hunsinger Comer Blaine Hunsinger, 45, of Route 2, Box 270-A, died Wednesday, July 17, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Hunsinger was a son of Mary Leachman, Athens, and the late Charles Hunsinger. He was employed with Watkins Motor Lines. Ernest C. Bufkin Monticello, Miss. Ernest C. Bufkin, 67, died Monday, July 15, 1996. Mr. Bufkin was a native of Monticello, Miss. From 1963 to 1991, he taught in the English Department of the University of Georgia. He was a classical pianist and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Day Chapel in the Georgia Botanical Gardens. He is survived by a sister, Mary Eleanor Hinklebien, Jackson, Miss. Celeste V. Smith Atlanta Celeste Voyles Smith, 77, formerly of Toccoa, died Friday, July 19, 1996. A native of Toccoa, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late John Coleman and Ella Smith Voyles. A native of Clark County, Mr. Jones was a son of Virginia and Johnny Jones Sr., Athens. He was a graduate of Cedar Shoals High School, and was employed with Northeast Georgia CESA. He was a member of Hill Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hill Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Barnes Jr. officiating.
