A native of Elbert County, Mr. Allen was a son of the late Dan Thomas and Fannie Bradley. He was a window washer and a member of New Ford Baptist Church. Funeral services were Saturday at New Ford Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Rucker Jr. officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include a son, Christopher Allen; a sister, Georgia Dempsey, Syracuse, N.Y.; and a brother, James Williams, Byron, Texas. McLendon Memorial Funeral Home, Washington, was in charge of arrangements. George Edge Toccoa George W. Edge, 86, of 325 Rothell Road died Friday, Dec. 20, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Edge was a son of the late Andrew and Lizzie Edge. He was retired from Toccoa Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Acree-Davis Funeral Home's Hillcrest Chapel with the Revs. Robert Randall and Tim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Annie Wheeler Edge; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Henry Brown, Roger Steele, Charles Ritcey, Ron Barker, Albert Beasley and Richard Steele. They are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. The family is at the residence. Edward Holland Athens Edward L. "Butter" Holland, 23, of Athens Arms Apartment 9-B died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996. Mr. Holland was a son of Rebecca Holland of Athens and Eddie W. Holland of Virginia. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, West, with Dr. Winfred M. Hope officiating. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a daughter, Jasmine Brice, Athens; two sisters, Angela Dodley and Julia Holland, both of Athens; two grandmothers, Sara Ellington, Athens, and Audrey Holland, Snow Hill, Md.; and nieces and nephews. Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jack Kenny Atlanta Jack N. Kenny, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Skyland United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marian Smith Kenny; and a sister-in-law, Ethyl "Boots" Hardison, Toccoa. Flora Martin Washington Flora Martin, 67, of 305 Church St. died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996. A native of Wilkes County, Mrs. Martin worked in health care. She was a member of Mulberry Baptist Church. Funeral services were Saturday at Clifford Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, with the Rev. David L. Sims officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Echols Martin, Boston, Mass., and Ronnie Martin, Atlanta; two sisters; three brothers; and two grandchildren. A native of Wilkes County, Ms. Montgomery was a daughter of the late Glenn and Lucy Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Mount Nebo Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Lacey officiating. Burial will be in City West Cemetery. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Norton was a son of the late Jim and Aner Bond Norton and the widower of Leottice Hunter Stowe Norton. He was preceded in death by three sons, Donnie Norton, Richard Norton and Ricky Norton, and a stepson, Jackie Stowe. He was a retired truck driver, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Rice Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Pruitte Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Suttles officiating. Burial will be in Rice Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Frances Taylor Union Point Frances Harper Taylor, 58, of 205 Hilliard St. died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1996. A native of Taliaferro County, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Benjamin R. Harper and Evelyn Meadows. She was a packing clerk for Chipman-Union Manufacturing and a member of Congregational Holiness Church, where she served as pianist. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Johnny Barrett and Eugene Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Robert Joel Taylor; two daughters, Susanne T. Griffin and Sarah Neal Martinez, both of Greensboro; and three grandchildren.
