A native of Clarke County, Miss Stanton was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Ethel W. Thomas. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church with the Rev. Clarence Thrower officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at noon. Survivors include four daughters, Joanne Shariff, Chicago, J. Ruth Morgan, Douglasville, and Sylvia Dues and Ethel Salley, both of Athens; a brother, Charles Thomas, Cincinnati; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Willie A. William 'Bill' Pritchett Watkinsville William "Bill" Pritchett, 89, of 9 Water St. died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 1996. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Pritchett was a son of the late John H. and Ella Norris Pritchett. He worked for Puritan Cordage Mill and Porterfield Nursery. He was a member of Antioch Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church with the Revs. David Perkins and Dan Fuller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Gladys B. Pritchett; a daughter, Betty Dawson, Watkinsville; a son, Ray C. Pritchett, North Kingston, R.I.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. White Hartwell Richard Elliot White, 79, of 83 Saints Drive died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1996. A native of Greenwood, S.C., Mr. White was a son of the late Herman L. and Lonnie Humphryes White. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian White Jackson and Ruth White Weldon. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, having served in the European and Pacific theaters. He was retired from Hartwell Mills as a manager/overseer. He was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Terry Meeks officiating. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Elliot White, of the home; two sons, Richard H. White, Greenville, S.C., and Charles R. White, Augusta; a stepdaughter, Pamela Smith, Amity, Ark.; two sisters, Mary Greenway, Anderson, S.C., and June Melton, Greer, S.C.; and five grandchildren. The family is at the home. Lona Williams Carnesville Lona Belle "Miss Belle" Williams died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996. A native of Pickens, S.C., Miss Williams was a member of Neal's Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church with the Revs. Anthony Little and Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Little and Angela Little, both of Commerce; and three sons, John Little, Commerce, Corky Little, Jefferson, and Michael Little, Lithonia. A native of Wilkes County, Miss Poss was a daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth Swann Poss. She was a retired textile worker at Chipman-Union Manufacturing. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, Union Point, Bethesda W.M.U., B.T.U. and Mamie Hester Sunday school class and the Happy Hearts Club. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at the church cemetery with the Rev. Lem Clark officiating. Pallbearers will be the deacons of the church. Memorials may be made to the church. Callaway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Addie N. Vaughter Palm Bay, Fla. Addie N. Vaughter, 92, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996. A native of Elbert County, Miss Vaughter was a daughter of the late Emmitt A. and Addie Patterson Vaughter. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Brown and Mary Carlson, and two brothers, Howard Vaughter and Tate Vaughter. She was an Army veteran of World War II and was later stationed at Fort Benning's Airborne Parachute School. She was retired from the Department of Air Force Civil Service and was a member and historian of J.W. Mathers Legion Post 163. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Memory Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack McVeigh officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include close family and nieces and nephews. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native of Wilkes County, Miss Colley was a daughter of the late Edd and Rachel Ware. She was a member of New Dorsey Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the church with the Rev. H.L. Dotson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
