A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Pittard was a daughter of the late Henry and Fannie Mae Simmons Wooten. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Comer, with the Rev. C.S. Stevens officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, the Rev. George L. Pittard; a son, George L. Pittard Jr., Hull; a sister, Patricia Simmons, Athens; and four grandchildren. Mack & Payne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Harry Whittaker Bostwick Harry Fambrough Whittaker, 69, of 1241 Wellington Road died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996. A native of Morgan County, Mr. Whittaker was a son of the late Harry Jackson and Mae Fambrough Whittaker. He was a retired industrial manager for Miami Rescue Mission. The body was donated to Emory School of Medicine. Survivors include his wife, June Lincoln Whittaker; two sons, Greg Whittaker, Jupiter, Fla., and Brant Whittaker, Miami; a daughter, George Anne Carter, Miami; a brother, Charles Clarke Whittaker, Decatur; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A native of Putnam County, Mr. Odom was a son of the late M.H. and Josie Mincey Odom. He was retired from Beers Construction Co., Atlanta, and was an Army veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arthur Bo- wick's Oconee Chapel, Watkinsville, with the Rev. Lee Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Smith Odom; two daughters, Jane Odom and Johnna Merritt, both of Bishop; two sons, Clay Odom and Marion Odom III, both of Bishop; two stepchildren, Connie Hicks and Skippy Higginbotham, both of Monroe; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. William Hill Statham William Lee Hill, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996. A native of Hayleyville, Ala., Mr. Hill was a son of the late Benjamin H. and Adeline B. Hill. He was the widower of Jessie Mae Benton. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home Memory Chapel. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Sapp, Monroe; two sisters, Lorene Stokes, Statham, and Ila Defore, Stonington, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Shirley Barge Athens Shirley Barge, 81, of 199 Oakland Ave. died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996. A native of Fulton County, Mrs. Barge was a daughter of the late George Edward and Cecil Kathryn Oxford Armstrong. She was a former employee of the Athens-Clarke County Library and a charter member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Milledge Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Royce McNeal and Claude McBride officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include her husband, Ed Barge; a daughter, Maryanne B. Hayes, Memphis, Tenn.; and a brother, George Armstrong, Roswell. Pallbearers will be Ray Neal, Bob Burton, Bill Boswell, James Farmer, Paul Jackson and Charles Clegg. The family will receive friends at 9:15 a.m. today at the church. Ray Scarborough Winterville Alton Ray Scarborough, 55, of 125 Shoals Creek Drive died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Scarborough was a son of the late How and Lois Seagraves Scarborough. He was a route salesman for Tom's Inc. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, East, with the Rev. Rick Standard officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens. Survivors include a son, Ricky Scarborough, Winterville; a daughter, Lisa Callaway, Winterville; a sister, Barbara Eberhart, St. Simons Island; and four grandchildren. Garry Barrett Montebello, Calif. Garry L. Barrett, 43, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 1996. A native of Gaston County, N.C., Mr. Barrett was a son of John Henry Barrett of Modesto, Calif., and Hazel M. and Russell Allen of Winder. He was a funeral director and a a member of Whistleville Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Wise-Connolly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include, in addition to his parents, a brother, Terry Barrett, Monroe; and four half brothers, Steve Blake, Troy Blake and Larry Blake, all of Winder, and Bobby Blake, North Augusta, S.C.
