Frost Bethlehem Danny Ray Frost, 43, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1996. A native of Barrow County, Mr. Frost was a son of Charlene Bryant of Winder and the late Bobby Eugene Frost. He was the owner of Danny's Welding and a U.S. Navy veteran. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Gail B. Frost; a son, Lucas Frost, Bethlehem; a daughter, Emily Frost, Bethlehem; a brother, Gary Bennett, Winder; and a sister, Debbie Skinner, Winder. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mozelle Kennedy Carnesville Annie Mozelle Ayers Kennedy, 88, of 10626 Old Federal Road, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Kennedy was a daughter of the late John Milton and Pearl Garrison Ayers. She was the widow of Jimmy R. `Dock' Kennedy. She was preceded in death by a son, Marion David Kennedy. She was a homemaker and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hunter's Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. C. Roy Smith and Doug Burns officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include six daughters, Doris Bond, Tallassee, Ala., Geneva Alexander, Lavonia, Juanita Thompson, Hartwell, Lucy Saylors, Bowersville, and Dorothy Layton and Virginia Kennedy, both of Carnesville; two sons, John Kennedy, Tallassee, Ala., and James Kennedy, Carnesville; four brothers, Conrad Ayers, Toccoa, Tom Watson Ayers, Carnesville, Marvin Ayers, Commerce, and Emerson Ayers, Westminster, S.C.; three sisters, Troyce Keesee and Mildred Norris, both of Toccoa, and Delia Neal Morvena, Cloudland; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-children. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 2-4 this afternoon and from 7-9 tonight at Ginn Funeral Home. Mittie T. Harrison Lavonia Mittie Elsie Thomas Harrison, 100, died Friday, Aug. 23, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Harrison was a daughter of the late Ezekial Urban and Evie Pearman Thomas. She was the widow of Hoyt Harrison, and was preceded in death by daughter, Jeanelle Harrison Collins, and a son, Thomas Hoyt Harrison. Ford McRee Jefferson Ford McRee, 88, of 809 McRee Road, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996. A native of Jackson County, Mr. McRee was a son of the late Frank and Jessie Venable McRee. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bethany Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Methodist Church with the Revs. Hulon Hill and Mark Danzey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Boncile V. McRee; a son, Jimmy F. McRee, Clayton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Jackson Funeral Home. Frederick M. Baumgartner Athens Frederick M. Baumgartner, 86, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996. Raised in Indianapolis, Mr. Baumgartner was a son of the late Milton D. and Sarah Hill Baumgartner. He was a graduate of Butler University and the University of Kansas, and later earned a doctoral degree in ornithology from Cornell University. He was a professor at Oklahoma State University and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Upon retirement, he and his wife started Little Lewis Whirlwind Nature School in Jay, Okla. Private funeral services will be held. Survivors include his wife, A. Marguerite Heydweiller Baumgartner; three sons, Ted A. Baumgartner, Athens, William M. Baumgartner, Ridgefield, Wash., and Karl H. Baumgartner, Richmond, Texas; a daughter, Barbara M. MacAlpine, Dexter, Mich.; a sister, Barbara B. Murphy, Auburn, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren. Paul Drake Danielsville James Paul Drake, 72, of Route 2, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996. A native of Madison County, Mr. Drake was a son of the late Jesse Boyd Drake and the late Lila Burroughs Drake. He was a retired farmer and school bus driver, and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Ila Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ila Baptist Church with the Revs. Murray Brett and Wayne Beatenbo officiating. Burial will be in the Ila Cemetery.
