A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. McCannon was a son of the late Sam and Sallie Holiday McCannon. He was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Singley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Athens. Lee Fowler, 68, of 259 Teasley Mill Road, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996. A native of Madison County, Mr. Fowler was a son of the late Ezra E. Fowler and Livy Berryman Fowler. He was an owner and operator of Lee's Tire Service and Lee's Wrecker Service, Melbourne, Fla. He was a member of Bowman Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bowman Baptist Church with the Rev. John D. Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Bowman. Box 490, Bowman, Ga. 30624. John Crisp Clayton John Hill Crisp, 75, of Cannon Road, died Friday, Sept. 26, 1996. Mr. Crisp was the widower of Motelle Gaby Crisp. He was engaged to Eunice Spooner, Athens. He was a retired programming analyst for Lee County, Fla., and owned a computer consulting business. He had also worked for Martin-Marietta and General Electric. He was a graduate of the University of Florida. He was a U.S. Army artillery veteran of World War II, serving as a second lieutenant in Europe where he saw combat action at the Battle of the Bulge. Survivors include a son, George B. Crisp, Ephrata, Pa.; a daughter, Priscilla Astling, Salt Lake City; a brother, Leonard Crisp, Hot Springs, Ark.; a sister, Victoria Bailey, Clayton; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A native of Birmingham, Ala., Mr. Moore was a son of the late Jack and Edna Hack Moore. He was a retired U.S. Navy chief petty officer.
