Kirby Cleveland Billy Gerald Kirby, 60, died Sunday, July 28, 1996. A native of Maryville, Tenn., Mr. Kirby was a son of Mildred White Kirby and the late Charles Kirby. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Helen S. Kirby; four daughters, Carol Morris, Zebulon, Leah Michelle Baumgardner, Maryville, Tenn., Jill Franklin, Braselton, and Melissa Powell, Winder; a sister, Glenda Phipps, Sharpsburgh; and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Eddie V. Hammond Evans Eddie Viola Hammond, 86, died Saturday, July 27, 1996. Mrs. Hammond was a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Bridges. She was the widow of George Bee Hammond. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a son, Henry David Hammond, Evans; a sister, Gussie Chandler, Martinez; and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery or the Educational Building Fund. DEATH NOTICES Lois N.
