A native of Waycross, Miss Peacock was a daughter of Thomas Raiford Peacock Jr. and Rita Jean Cofer Peacock, both of the home. She was a student at Cedar Shoals High School, where she was a member of the drill team and a former band member. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today at Green Acres Baptist church with the Rev. Fred Rowell officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. John Gibbs officiating. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include a brother, Thomas Peacock, Athens; her paternal grandfather, Tom Peacock, Tifton, formerly of Ashburn; her maternal grandmother, Mary J. Cofer, Tifton; and four aunts, Sujette Hudgins, Tifton, Mary Ann Rainey, Athens, Nancy Braswell, Cordele, and Angela Cofer, Fort Worth, Texas. Morrow Comer Essie Elizabeth Whitehead Morrow, 89, of 611 College Ave. died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996. A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Morrow was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice Hill Whitehead. Cooper Jr., 71, of 692 Whitehead Road died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Cooper was a son of the late Lauren W. Sr. and Lula Bobo Cooper. He was an Army veteran, was retired from Davey Tree Co. and was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and attended Clemson University. He was active in several concrete and related companies as president and chairman.
