Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. today in Bush River Church Cemetery, Homer. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her maternal grandparents, Linda Minor, Jefferson, and Ramond Minor, Cleveland, Ohio; and her paternal grandparents, Freddy and Lula Little, Arcade. Forestglen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Willie V.M. Mayfield Hartwell Willie Van Mattox Mayfield, 75, of 97 Peachtree St. died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996. A native of Hart County, Mrs. Mayfield was a daughter of the late Ephram and Lula Mattox and the widow of L.D. Mayfield. She was a member of Hartwell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hartwell Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Grandberry officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include four sons, Columbus L. Mayfield and Pren- tis Mayfield, both of Hartwell, and Willie D. Mayfield and Fred E. Mayfield, both of Philadelphia; a daughter, Patricia Mayfield, Hartwell; a sister, Fannie Mae Adams, Atlanta; a brother, Andrew Mattox, Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family is at the home of Patricia Mayfield, 97 Peachtree St., Hartwell. Macks' Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Charles H. Whitten Elberton Charles Harold Whitten, 54, of 1335 Skeeter Drive, Rock Branch community, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1996. A native of Fulton County, Mr. Whitten was a son of the late James S. and Cleva Mae Capes Whitten. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Jonathan Whitten. He was a self-employed peanut salesman and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Rock Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Ed Sayer and Terry Meeks officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Betty McDonald Whitten; two sons, Clarence Richard Pierce Sr., Luthersville, and Joe Pierce, Elberton; two daughters, Debra J. Collins, Hampton, and Carolyn H. Johnson, Elberton; three brothers, Preston Whitten, Clifford Whitten and Ronnie Whitten, all of Griffin; eight sisters, Betty D. A native of Banks County, Mr. Smith was a son of Lizzie Maxwell Smith of Alto and the late Joe B. Smith. He attended Lamar Christian Church. 'Rhonda' Baughman Winder Gail "Rhonda" Baughman, 46, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996. A native of Harris County, Texas, Mrs. Baughman was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Drennen of Cannon Lake, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Pennington officiating. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband, Greg Baughman; a son, Chris Morant, Meigs; and a brother, Michael Drennen, Sand Marcus, Texas. Howard Blackmon Jr. Elberton Howard Blackmon Jr., 57, of 2718 Calhoun Falls Highway died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996. A native of Georgia, Mr. Blackmon was a son of the late Howard Sr. and Ethel New Blackmon. He was a stone cutter in the granite industry and a member of Bethel "E" Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Hicks Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jarrett Banks and Rand Freer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Lexie Rudder Blackmon; three sons, David W. Blackmon Sr., Dennis L. Blackmon and Howard D.
