Rucker Chicago Lizzie Goss Rucker, 64, of 11655 Racine Avenue, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 1996. Mrs. Rucker was a daughter of the late Willie Goss and Hattie Hunt Goss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marjester Rucker Jr., and sister Carol Lee Smith. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maple Park United Methodist, with the Rev. Albert Shears officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Perkin and Linda Curtis, both of Chicago; two sons, Michael Rucker and Marjester Rucker Jr., both of Chicago; four sisters, Ethel Turner, Ruby Starks, Martha Strange and Willie A. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Strickland was a daughter of Fannie Lee Lord of Danielsville and the late Hoke Lord. She was a member of Macedonia Independent Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the church with the Revs. Artis Anglin and Curtis Hammond officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Charlie B. Strickland Sr.; a daughter, Shirley S. Cain, Commerce; a son, Charlie B. Strickland Jr., Athens; three brothers, David Lord and Grady Lord, both of Danielsville, and Leroy Lord, Ila; a sister, Carolyn Hardy, Commerce; and 10 grandchildren. Ward Jefferson Steve Randall Ward, 39, of 146 Pine St. died Monday, Oct. 28, 1996. A native of Clarke County, Mr. Ward was a son of Helen Tolbert Ward and the late Clyde Preston Ward Jr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was employed with L&L Construction Co., Jefferson. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Jackson Funeral Home with the Revs. Clyde Davis and Jeff Morgan officiating. Williams Commerce Rosetta Finley Williams, 62, of 68 Chesnut St. died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996. A native of Hayesville, N.C., Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Mack and Fedella Holden Finley. She was a waitress and a member of the Baptist Tabernacle, Commerce. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyd S. Jennings Sr. Hoschton Loyd S. Jennings Sr., 51, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996. A native of Gwinnett County, Mr. Jennings was a son of Margaret Wallace Jennings and the late Carlton Jennings. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed roofer and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. A native of Madison County, Mr. Frady was a son of the late James Emory and Atness Drake Frady. He was the first director of St. Mary's ambulance service and was a funeral director with Lord and Stephens Funeral Homes. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Revs. Lee Hunter and Larry Elliott officiating. Survivors include his wife, Virginia G.
