Ivory Athens Mark I. "Face" Ivory, 20, of 110 Hickman Drive No. 4 died Friday, July 25, 1997. A native of Indianapolis, Mr. Ivory was a son of Lois Tucker and John Ivory. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hurley Funeral Home with the Rev. C.S. Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Baptist Church, Statham. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Valeria Fleming, Athens; and two brothers, Lennail Thomas, Indianapolis, and Kenneth Tucker, Athens. Thelma A. Marett Hartwell Thelma Aderhold Marett, 86, of 380 Athens St. died Tuesday, July 29, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Marett was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary Catherine Aderhold and the widow of Walter W. "Walt" Marett Jr. She was a retired case worker for the Hart County Department of Family and Children Services, a former teacher with the Hart County School System and former president of Hartwell Women's Club and Hartwell Garden Club. She was a member of Hartwell First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Strickland Funeral Home with Dr. Hugh Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Marett Bryan, Seneca, S.C.; a son, Walter W. Marett III, Roswell; a sister, Edna Gard, Tallahassee, Fla.; and three grandchildren. The family is at the residence. Talmadge Pinkston Bowersville Talmadge Pinkston, 63, of 250 Christian Drive died Sunday, July 27, 1997. A native of Hart County, Mr. Pinkston was a son of the late John B. and Ida Heard Pinkston. He was retired from Milliken and was a member of New Light Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Mayweather officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Pearlie Curry Pinkston; two daughters, Susan Brown, of the home, and Vernita Shealer, Carnesville; three sons, William D. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Ramsey was a son of the late Marvin Taylor and Lillian Purdy Ramsey. He was a retired carpenter in the housing industry and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Dr. Lane Fordham officiating. Burial will be in Toms Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Lillie Williams Athens Lillie Mae Williams of 128 Broad Acres died Friday, July 25, 1997. A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Williams was the widow of Henry Williams Sr. She was a retired pastry chef.
