Crenshaw, 74, of 828 Parklane died Sunday, June 29, 1997. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Crenshaw was a daughter of the late Dr. Herbert Hawkins Hampton and Annie Laurie Bray and the widow of Robert Wade Crenshaw. She was owner and operator of Crenshaw's Gift Shop and a member of the Madison Morgan Center, Hard Labor Creek Golf Association, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business Council and First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Morgan Memorial Park with the Revs. Chuck Hasty and Tom Kerr officiating. Survivors include nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Simmons Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Mary Crenshaw Fund, c/o Madison United Methodist Church. Lillie Garrett Baldwin Lillie Canup Garrett, 91, of Wilbanks Street died Sunday, June 29, 1997. A native of White County, Mrs. Garrett was a daughter of the late Van and Mary Cantrell Canup and the widow of William Albert Garrett. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating. Burial will be in Yonah Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Bohannon, Baldwin; three half sisters; four half brothers; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Bill Lavelle Holyoke, Mass. Francis W. "Bill" Lavelle, beloved husband of Constance Abert Wood-Lavelle, died at home Sunday, June 29, 1997, after a long illness. A native of Holyoke, Mass., Mr. Lavelle was the son of the late Frank E. and Jeanette Therrien Lavelle, Holyoke, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. A graduate of R.P.I., Troy, New York, Mr. Lavelle was a retired engineer with UniRoyal Tire and Rubber Corp. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday, July 7, 1997, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Joe Chaleoux will officiate. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, one daughter, two stepdaughters and several grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity. A native of Mobile, Ala., Mr. Lott was a son of the late Curtis Gordon and Irona Estagner Lott. He was a retired civil service worker and of the Baptist faith. Memorial services will be announced later. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Lott, Mobile, and Wanda LeJune, Fort Bragg, N.C.; a son, Joseph G. Betty Mauldin Elberton Veatrice "Betty" Childs Mauldin, 69, of 2198 Lincolnton Highway died Monday, June 30, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Mauldin was a daughter of the late Thomas Banks and Clara Tex Robinson Childs. She worked 30 years as a teller at First National Bank in Elberton and was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn United Methodist Church with the Revs. John Heckman and David Robb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Survivors include her husband, Levis C.
