Mr. Cherry, a native of Dodge County, was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Rosa Lee Sapp Cherry. He was the former owner of Cherrys Barbeque and manager of Georgian Theatre. He was formerly employed with Gulf Life Insurance Company and was a 40 year member of Brick Layers Local #8 of Georgia and a member of Joy Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Joy Baptist Church with the Revs. Elmer Stephens, James Brock and Hugh Eberhart officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife Serena Martin Cherry, one daughter, Bonnie C. Mrs. Church was a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Martin Nix and the widow of Lawrence Taylor and Frank Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lenolia Ivie. Mrs. Church was a homemaker and a member of the Baldwin Church of God. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitfield Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Davis officiating. Burial will be in Gillsville Cemetery, Gillsville, with Claude Green officiating. A native of Barrow County, Mr. Crowe was a son of the late Albert C. and Sallie Rowden Crowe. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired grading contractor. "Bud" Parham, 72, of Petersburg Towers, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997. Mr. Parham was a son of the late O.C. Parham Sr. and Mary Moon Parham. He was a retired electrician, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Robison Athens Robert Calvin Robison, 73, of 450 Brookwood Drive died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997. A native of Urbana, Ohio, Mr. Robison was a son of the late Ralph Waldo and Sue Belle Culp Robison. He was a retired Agricultural Engineer with the Soil and Water Conservation Service, Department of Agriculture and a member of Athens Rotary Club where he served as secretary and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Robison was a member of the American Society of Agricultural Engineers, Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, Soil and Water Conservation Society of America-Fellow Member and Regional Vice President-Association of Retired SCS Employees. He was named OPEDA's Professional of the Year in 1986, Rotarian of the Year in 1997 and was awarded the SCSA Fellow in 1983. Mr. Robison was a Army veteran of World War II having served with the 20th Armored Division and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kent Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Greenville St., died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997. Mr. Stokely was a son of the lated Jesse Buchanan Stokely and Pearl Johnson Stokely and the widower of Carolyn Ballentine Stokely. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and a Army Air Corps. Veteran of World War II discharged with the rank of Captain. Mr. Stokely was retired from Sears and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Anderson, S.C. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Harlan E. A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Taylor was a daughter of the late Elex Bill and Mary Ruth Chester and a member of St. James Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. W.R. Flint officiating. Burial will be in the Spalding cemetery. Main St., died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997. Mrs. Ware was a daughter of the late C.A. Jordan Sr. and Addie Ora Echols Jordan and widow of N. J. Ware. She was a homemaker and former manager of Community Cleaners. Mrs. Ware was a member of the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church and was the last member of the first class of the Franklin Springs Institute which later became Emmanuel College. She was preceded in death by a son, James Ware. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Franklin Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. A.D. Beacham and the Revs. Raymond Carr, John Swailes, Ronnie McKenzie and Tim Marriner officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Springs City Cemetery. Velma Vaughn Wright Lavonia Velma Vaughn Wright, 94, of 2830 Stone Bridge Road died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997. Mrs. Wright was a daughter of the late D.H. and Melissa Sewell Vaughn and widow of Joseph U. Wright. She was preceded in death by her infant son, a sister and two brothers. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and the last surviving charter member of the Fairview Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Fairview Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Velma Jo Sliger, Lavonia, and Luna L.
