William Bray Jr. Athens William Ralph Bray Jr., 78, of 310 Quailwood Drive died Friday, August 1, 1997. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Bray was a son of the late Lylah Mathews and William Ralph Bray Sr. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired book store owner and a member of Campus View Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Campus View Church of Christ. Burial will be at 4 p.m. in Crawford City Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Constance M. Bray; a daughter, Rebecca B. Nelda Croker Sugar Hill Nelda Croker, 68, formerly of Lavonia, died Wednesday, July 30, 1997. Mrs. Croker was a daughter of Inez Stanford of Marietta. A native of Muscogee County, Mr. Gowan was a son of Joan Wade of Colquitt and Jacques Richard Gowan Sr. of Bainbridge. A native of Oweida County, N.Y., Mrs. Medlin was a daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy Zawada. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Phillip Episcopal Church, Atlanta. She was retired from Elberton Manufacturing Co. and a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a retired elementary teacher in the Oglethorpe County school system, and a member of Meadow Crest Club, Association for the Advancement of Retired People, First Baptist Church of Greensboro and Fidelis Sunday school class.
