A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Martin was a daughter of the late Harvey Jackson and Alma Stephens Dailey and the widow of James Herbert Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Mitton officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Survivors include five sisters, Mary Satterfield, Talmo, Essie Hammond, Winder, Josephine Jones, Statham, Ruth Hardin, Bogart, and Patricia Mize, Commerce; two brothers, James R. Dailey, Griffin, and George T. Dailey, Jefferson; and nieces and nephews. Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Hayes Turner Crawford Hayes Turner, 78, of Huntington Drive died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997. A native of Burke County, Mr. Turner was a son of the late Henry and Lela Turner. He was a servant of Jehovah's Witnesses of Crawford. Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Winterville, with disclosure by Brother Benson. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Turner; two daughters, Aquita Wright, Comer, and Sharon Ellis, Athens; a son, Kenneth Turner, Crawford; a sister, Cammie Turner, Augusta; two brothers, Henry Turner Jr., Florida, and Lawrence Turner, Augusta; two grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Jones Lexington Funeral Chapel, Lexington, is in charge of arrangements. Elizabeth Woodcock High Shoals Elizabeth F. Woodcock, 93, died Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. A native of Hollidaysburg, Pa., Ms. Woodcock was a daughter of the late William Lee and Lydia Ferguson Woodcock. She was a graduate of Vassar College, majoring in music, and continued her studies at the Paris Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Isadar Philippe. She had lived in New York, N.Y., and Warren, Conn., before moving to High Shoals Family Life Enrichment Center in High Shoals, where she had lived the past nine years. She was a retired teacher and church secretary and a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Survivors include a niece, Elizabeth Turner, Athens; a nephew, William Lee Woodcock Peters, Athens; and four great-nieces and great-nephews, Douglas Woodcock Teague, Decatur, Elizabeth Eleanor Teague Thompson, Asheville, N.C., Cynthia Lee Peters Maddox, Flower Mound, Texas, and Deirdre Elizabeth Peters, Bogart.
