Bohannon Toccoa Troy Levston Bohannon, 64, of Mize Road, died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997. A native of Toccoa, Mr. Bohannon was a son of the late James and Betty Certain Bohannon and the widower of Betty Merck Bohannon. Prior to retirement, he was supervisor of Plant Number 2 of Trogdon Furniture Company in Toccoa. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served with the Corps of Engineers. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Bohannon officiating. Burial will be in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Wilson and Sharon Englin, both of Toccoa; two sons, Terry Bohannon and Allen Bohannon, both of Toccoa; one sister, Mrs. Jimmie Singleton, Toccoa; two brothers, Wayne Bohannon and Dwayne Bohannon, both of Toccoa; 13 grandchildren, including a grandson reared in the home, Mikey Maxwell; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bohannon, Hank Bohannon, Dusty Englin, Michael Maxwell, Jeremy Griffin and Mike Ivester. Virginia Brackett Athens Virginia Opal Underwood Brackett, 89, died Friday, Oct. 3, 1997. A native of Waynesville, N.C., Mrs. Brackett was a daughter of the late David Franklin and Clara Corder Underwood, and the widow Wayne Franklin Brackett Sr. She retired in 1962 from American Baking Co. She was a life member of the National P.T.A., a member of the V.F.W. Post 3181, and a member of the World War I Barracks Auxiliary #718. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Florence, S.C. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, Florence, S.C. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Dr. W.D. Brackett, Chattanooga, and Wayne F. Brackett Jr, Athens; a sister, Violet Miller, Canton, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Linnie Carroll Toccoa Linnie Mae Barron Carroll, 82, 605 Mulkey Road, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Carroll was a daughter of the late Joseph Ketron and Lillie Mae Wilson Barron and the widow of Howard Carroll. She was a graduate of North Georgia Technical Institute in Clarkesville, and was employed with Jantzen Sports Wear in Westminster, S.C., for some 15 years. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church, Batesville, with the the Revs. Ernest Ivester and Roy Baney officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was retired from Coats & Clark after 25 years of service and a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Toms Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Clack Stubbs and Virgil Merck officiating.
