A native of Banks County, Mr. Cochran was a son of the late Matt J. and Amanda Ella Ward Cochran and the widower of Fannie Lee Ray Cochran. He was a retired construction worker and a deacon and Sunday school teacher at New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Kesler and Robert Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Bethel M Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Lee Cochran, Danielsville; two sons, Ray Cochran and Weyman Cochran, both of Danielsville; two sisters, Kelsey Hill and Imogine Cochran, both of Athens; a brother, Julian Cochran, Homer; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Dalton Stephens Infant Demarius T. Dalton of 291 Salem-Stephens Road died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997. Demarius was a son of Gregory Smith and Yvette Dalton of Stephens. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Thankful Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dwight Sims officiating. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Kimberly Dalton; maternal grandparents, Betty Jean and Harry Dalton; and a paternal grandmother, Sally Smith. Jones Lexington Funeral Chapel, Lexington, is in charge of arrangements. Kenneth Duck Braselton Kenneth Ray Duck, 60, of 583 Duck Road died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Duck was a son of Allene White Duck of Braselton and the late Lewis Gibson Duck. An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, he was retired from Chateau Elan Resort and was a member of the Retired Enlisted Men Association and Paul Bolding American Legion Post 7. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Phillips and Ricky Thrasher officiating. Burial will be in the military section of Memorial Park, Gainesville. Martha Logan Bogart Martha Virginia Logan, 93, of 1660 Jennings Mill Road died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Logan was a daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Fowler Peterson. She was a homemaker and a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. Survivors include her husband, Audie B. Logan; a son, Herman Logan, Greensboro, N.C.; three grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and two nieces. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 a.m. today at Bridges Funeral Home. A native of Stephens County, Mr. Looney was a son of Frances Meeks Looney Beeler of Martin and the late Joe Paul Looney. He was employed with Coats & Clark for 35 years, was a former chief of Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church, Georgia Fire Chiefs Association and Toccoa Deer Hunters Club. A native of Elbert County, Mr. Thornton was a son of the late Frank Gibson and Mary Ella Anderson Thornton. A Coast Guard veteran of World War II, he was a parts salesman for Baker Auto Parts and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. John Tittle Athens John Henry Title, 65, of 750 E. Whitehall Road died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Tittle was a son of Virlan Johnson Tittle of Athens and the late George Washington Tittle. He was a retired spinner at Whitehall Mills and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East. Clark Watkins Athens Clark Monroe Watkins, 80, of 105 Hunnicutt Drive died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997. A native of Ensley, Ala., Mr. Watkins was a son of the late John W. and Lela Young Watkins. An Army veteran of World War II, he was retired after 40 years service from the Army Reserve and was also retired from the U.S. Department of Labor. He was a member of the Lions Club and First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Grady Wigley and Dr. Bill Brett officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Eva Smith Watkins; three daughters, Janet W. Patterson, Atlanta, Marilyn J. Burge, Fairfax, Va., and Sheila W.
