A native of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. Allais was a daughter of the late Regan and Jesse Mae Turner Colquitt and the widow of Richard Allais. She was retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and was of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Danielsville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Richard Brooks Colbert Richard Marion Brooks, 87, of Fifth Street died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997. A native of Wilkes County, Mr. Brooks was a son of the late James and Minnie Lou Little Brooks and was preceded in death by a son, Dolph Brooks. He was a retired plumber for the University of Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Curtis Hammond and Bob Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Colbert City Cemetery. Carl Brown Homer Carl Hank Brown, 34, of 723 Carson Road died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997. A native of Commerce, Mr. Brown was a son of Florence Lord Woods of Comer and the late Luther Harrison Brown. George Cantrell Toccoa George James Cantrell, 76, of Nub Garland Road died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Cantrell was a son of the late John Hamby and Nobie McCollum Cantrell and the widower of Dorothy B. Murray Cantrell. He was self-employed and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the Adult Men's Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Gary Whetstone officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. A native of Taliaferro County, Mr. Jackson was a son of the late John Stephen Jackson and Susie Harrison. He was retired from the Farmer's Home Administration of the U.S. Department of Agriculture after 33 years of service and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a former member of Kiwanis International and the American Legion Roy Dozier Post No. 8 and a member of Crawfordville Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and church treasurer for 39 years. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crawfordville Baptist Church, with Dr. Jimmy Waters and the Rev. John Beck officiating. Burial will be in the Crawfordville Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Myra Ray Jackson; a daughter, Jane Jackson Highsmith, Hephzibah; a sister, Virginia Davis, Cornelia; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
