A native of Habersham County, Mrs. Addington was a daughter of the late Isack W. and Mary Lucindy Trusty Kinney and the widow of Howard C. Addington. Before retiring, she and her husband owned Addington Candy Co. She was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 40 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Level Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Rice and Wilmer Ivester officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Garnell Armour Athens Garnell Townsend Armour, 77, of 960 Hawthorne Ave. died Sunday, July 6, 1997. A native of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Armour was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Harris Townsend and the widow of Paul Armour. She had lived most of her life in Athens and was former administrator of Heritage Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Singly officiating. Burial will be in Oconee Hill Cemetery. Drake, Fort Worth, Texas; and five great-grandchildren. Betty Jo Buchanan Elberton Betty Jo Buchanan, 69, of 111 Glendale Ave. died Sunday, July 6, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Buchanan was a daughter of the late Webb and Grace Kell Tatum Sr. She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Elbert Memorial Hospital and a member of Elbert First United Methodist Church. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Whitworth was a son of the late Dewey and Myrtle Whiten Whitworth. He had worked 15 years in the Stephens County Sheriff's Department and was an Army Medical Corps veteran of World War II.
