A native of Baxter County, Ark., Mrs. Holbrook was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Minnie Doshier Marler. She was retired from the textile industry. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pruitte Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. James Gunn officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston. Survivors include her husband, Charles O. Holbrook; two daughters, Sheryl Holbrook Fleming, Greenville, S.C., and Carla Patten, Bowman; and a grandchild and a great-grandchild. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. today. The family is at the residence. Jack Irvin Jr. Athens Jack Irvin Jr., 76, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997. A native of Carroll County, Mr. Irvin was a son of the late John T. and Mittie Catherine Word Irvin. He was a retired car salesman, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Master Sargeant. He was a member of Bogart Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Randy Strickland officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. Survivors include five sons, Kenneth Irvin, Arnoldsville, Woody Irvin, Colbert, Travis Irvin, Jack Irvin, and John Irvin, all of Bogart; two brothers, Wallace Irvin, Washington, Ga., and James Irvin, Seattle; two sisters, Doris Johnson, Carrollton, and Betty Bremen, Bremen; and two grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today. John Kidd Comer John Roy Kidd, 83, of Hwy. 72, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997. A life-long resident of Madison County, he was a son of the late Patton and Nona Burroughs Kidd. He was a woodworker and of the Baptist faith. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Vineyards Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Ollie Ramey Cornelia Ollie Ramey, 51, of Grove Street, died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997. Mr. Ramey was a son of the late Marvin James Ramey Sr. and Ruth Waldrup Ramey Griffin. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Ramey and David Ramey. He was a supervisor at Cornelia Veneer Company with 26 years of service. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
