Carson Toccoa Addie L. Carson, 82, of 140 Grove St., died Thursday, August 7, 1997. Miss Carson was a daughter of the late Nathan and Mattie Holbrook Carson. She was educated at Franklin County Training School and was the cook for Little's Coffee Shop. She also worked for the Cobb Convalesce Home. She was a member of Union Grove C.M.E. Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Union Grove C.M.E. Church with the Revs. Gaines and Frank Earl officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mae C. Mays, Jamaica, N.Y.; a sister, Nealie Carson, Toccoa; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Moss-Stovall-Neal Funeral Home, Toccoa is in charge of arrangements. Thomas O. Carson Watkinsville Thomas O. Carson, 75, of 2620 Oliver Bridge Road died Sunday, August 10, 1997. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Carson was a son of the late George "Tommy" Carson and Edna Huff Carson. He was retired from Thaxton Turkey Farm and a member of Antioch Christian Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Antioch Christian Church with the Rev. David Perkins officiating. Burial will be in Willoughby Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Griffith Carson, a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Louise and Mack Fielding, Watkinsville; a son, Michael O. Arthur Caudell Baldwin Arthur Caudell, 73, of Donalyn Lane died Saturday, August 9, 1997. A native of Habersham County, Mr. Caudell was a son of the late Walter Caudell and Ola Watts Caudell. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was formerly employed with Chicopee Manufacturing Company for 34 years. He was retired from Baycor Corporation and a member of Cornelia First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday school class. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Whitfield Funeral Home with Dr. T. Logan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Langford, 66, died Saturday, August 9, 1997. A native of Walton County, Mrs. Langford was a daughter of the late Walter Lewis and Vida Perry Harris. She and her late husband, Howard Langford, operated the Trainagle Restaurant in Winder before retiring. Leo Nelms Royston Leo Vaughn Nelms, 88, died Sunday, August 10, 1997. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Nelms was a daughter of the late John Vaughn and the late Carrie Ginn Vaughn. She was the widow of Sam D. Nelms and a member of the Royston Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Malcolm Herndon officiating. Charlie Ross Athens Charlie O'dell Ross, 73, died Saturday, August 9, 1997. A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Ross was a son of the late Charlie and Fannie Prather Ross. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II and retired from Rodgers Hosiery Mill in 1986. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and the American Legion. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Mark Maynor officiating. Gaines, and a grandson, Andy Gaines. She was a longtime resident of Clarke County and together with her late husband, was longtime owner of C.E. Webb Radiator Shop.
