A native of Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. Ball was a daughter of the late Ernest Wilhelm and Mary Alice Roach Pamperin and the widow of Dr. W.L. Linwood Ball. She was of the Episcopal faith. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church with Dr. Rufus Womble officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Survivors include seven nieces, Delores Pamperin and Carol Ann Pamperin, both of Richmond, Va., Mary Mackie Mitchell, Lakeland, Fla., Carla Pamperin Blevins, Buchanan, Va., Judith Lee Hill and Mary Hill Towns, both of Homer, and Sharon Lee Pamperin, West Palm Beach, Fla.; and a nephew, David Carl Mackie, Lakeland, Fla. Buford Davis Athens Buford Roscoe Davis, 79, formerly of 106 Vine Circle died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997. A native of Jackson County, Mr. Davis was a son of the late Fred Eric and Cora Mae Harrison Davis and the widower of Thelma Roberta Hall. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was retired from Hannah Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Kesler and LCDR Chaplin Walter M. Brown officiating. Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn McElreath and Geraldine Stamps, both of Danielsville, and Judy Castillo, Athens; a brother, Bernice Eric Davis, Athens; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
