She was retired from Almar Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Mr. Crowe was a son of the late Ellie and Nellie Carlock Crowe. He was a retired farmer and a member of Union Baptist Church. Inez H. Hair Hilton Head Island, S.C. Inez Harriet Hernlund Hair died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at the Fraser Health Center. A native of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Hair was born March, 17, 1903, and was a daughter of the late John Wilbur and Minnie Olson Hernlund and the widow of Pinckney Belton Hair, D.D.S., who died in 1978. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys H. Simmons and Ruby H. Warner. She moved to Hilton Head Island in 1986. She received a B.S. in Home Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1924 and was past president of Kappa Rho Debating Society and Phi Mu Sorority. She served as chairman of Junior Red Cross for Spartanburg County during World War II and was a member of the Family Service Board. She was past president of the Woman's Board of the Y.M.C.A. and the Girl Scout Board, and was active in the P.T.A. She served as president of the Spartanburg Dental Auxiliary and the South Carolina Dental Auxiliary, was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg since 1925, and was an associate member of Providence Presbyterian Church of Hilton Head Island. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at Providence Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gerald S. Mills officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Spartanburg, with the Rev. Bob Morgan officiating.
