A native of Morgan County, Mr. Bishop was a son of the late Melvin S. Bishop and the late Lelia King. He was formerly employed as a welder. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Simmons Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Jerald Bishop officiating. The body will be placed in the chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Beal Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Nora Lou Head-Bishop; seven sons, Randall Melvin Bishop Jr., Smyrna, Bruce Bishop, Madison, Kenneth Bishop, George Bishop, Wayne Bishop and Larry Bishop, all of Rutledge, and Don Bishop, Cary, N.C.; four daughters, Linda J. Callahan, Greenville, S.C., Cheryl Ann Nelson, Bay Minetta, Ala., Lou Ellen Rhodes, High Shoals, and Denise Hilsman, Madison; three brothers, Robert Bishop and Gerald Bishop, both of Appalachee, and Jack Bishop, Colbert; two sisters, Helen Malcom, Colbert, and Hazel Griffin, N.C.; and 32 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today. Pauline Fulcher High Shoals Pauline O. Fulcher, 76, of 365 Anthony Lane, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Fulcher was a daughter of the late Isaac Lambert and Cora Lee Crabb Oldham, and the widow of the late Homer Clinton Fulcher. She was a long-time employee of Wellington-Puritan and a member of High Shoals Christian Church. She was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church Senior Citizens Group. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at High Shoals Christian Church, with the Revs. Herb Owen, Jeff Thomas, and Peggy Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include three sons, Larry Clinton Fulcher, Atlanta, Charles Michael Fulcher, Carson City, Nev., and Ronald Dean Fulcher, Hull; a daughter, Tracy Jean Anthony, High Shoals; and 4 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, from 7-9 p.m. today. Richard Mason Cartersville Richard D. "Dick" Mason, 73, of 15 Walnut Drive, died Friday, Oct. 10, 1997. A native of Wilkinson County, Mr. Mason was a son of the late Joseph Francis Mason and Daisy Idell Whitaker, and the widower of the late Gladys Jones Mason. He attended Rutgers University and CAL Polytech. Prior to retirement in 1981, he served as vice president of operations for Thompson Weinman Co. in Cartersville, and Sylacauga, Ala., and Evans Clay in McIntyre, Ga. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Europe with the 103rd US Army Timberwolf Division, where he received the purple heart and the bronze star. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. He was also a member of Bread of Life Ministries. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Dr. Dewey Davidson officiating. Members of Mr. Mason's Sunday School class will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Tabernacle Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, Cartersville, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. today. On Sunday, Mr. Mason will be carried to Moore Funeral Home, Milledgeville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Liberty Baptist Church, with the Rev. Morris Wood officiating. A native of Orangeburg, S.C., he was a son of Patricia Wood Pressley of Hartwell and the late Amos J. Pressley. He was a superintendent for Contract Construction Co., Valentine, S.C., and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of St. Matthews. He was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Strickland Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. Frank Cantrell and Frank Townsend officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Pickens, S.C., with full Masonic rites.
