A native of Habersham County, Mr. Blackburn was a son of the late T.S. and Lillie Mae Shirley Blackburn. He was a 1938 graduate of Baldwin High School and a retired employee of the city of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with 34 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Whitfield Funeral Home with Dr. T. Logan Smith and the Rev. Byron McEachern officiating. Burial will be in B.C. Grant Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Deloris Blackburn; a son, Gene Blackburn, Gainesville; a sister, Violet B. Fleming, Lawrenceville; three brothers, Waymon Blackburn, Mount Airy, and Floyd Blackburn and Fred Blackburn, both of Alto; and two grandchildren. Linda Eaves Elberton Martha Linda Eaves, 50, of 2757 Rock Branch Road, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997. A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of Charles "Beefy" and Martha King Eaves of Elberton. She was a schoolteacher and taught at the Falling Creek Elementary School for 19 years. She was a member and officer of the local chapter of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Camp Harmony Association where she served as secretary for many years. She also coached and taught for the City of Elberton Recreation Department. She was a member of the Rock Branch Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Rock Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Edward Sayer and Dennis Clark, and Lamar Scott officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton. In addition to her parents, survivors include a sister, Peggy L. Eaves, Elberton; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Eaves and Frank H. Eaves, both of Elberton; and nieces and nephews. The family is at the residence. Hicks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Addie Forester Royston Addie Willene Howell Forester, 84, of 234 Turner St., died Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997. A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late James and Mattie Carroll Howell and the widow of Frank T. Vernon and William Clyde Forester. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Vernon and Howell Vernon. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Ginn Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Frances Taylor, Royston, Annie Mae Harbin, Hartwell, and Willene Ayers and Brenda Pritchett, both of Carnesville; a son, Jimmy Forester, Carnesville; a stepson, Bobby Forester, Elberton; and 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. Margene Seaborn Toccoa Margene Cothran Seaborn of Briarwood Drive, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997. A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Fred F. and Lallie Harrison Cothran and widow of Frank Seaborn. She was a retired nurse, having worked with Dr. Schaefer until he retired and with Stephens County Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toccoa. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Fields and the Rev. Billy Owensby officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Holmes, Martin; and a sister, Marilyn C. Hammock, St. Cloud, Fla. The family will receive friends 3-4 p.m. Monday at the church. Whitlock Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Early White Danielsville Early Paul White, 68, of 237 Westlake Circle, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997. A native of Gwinnett County, Mr. White was a son of the late Jim and Essy King White. He was a sheet metal worker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Riverside Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Sullivan and Walter Harper Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Thelma White; a daughter, Vivian Shoemaker, Commerce; five sons, Danny White, R.L. White and David White, all of Danielsville, James White, Lawrenceville, and Junior White, Ila; a sister, Lizzie Pearl Barker, Lawrenceville; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home. Jack Williams Loganville Jack B. Williams, 67, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997. A native of Rabun County, Mr. Williams was a member and deacon of Bay Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Bay Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. H.T. Johnson, Henley Martin and Tim Royster officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Ann Williams; two daughters, Marlene Massey and Darlene Williams, both of Loganville; a son, Jack Branson Williams Jr., Loganville; a brother, Alvin S. Williams, Houston; a sister, Faye Park, Auburn; and two grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and nieces.
